My general experience studying abroad has been exciting and challenging, but I am loving every minute of it. The best part is waking up every day and being able to walk to the Colosseum after school and listening to everyone around you speak Italian. The most memorable experience has been the amazing Italian food. It is undeniably the best food in the world.
Receiving a scholarship from CCF has changed my life because it has allowed me to visit the country that my ancestors came from. It has allowed me to eat the food and experience the culture. I now understand why my mom talks with her hands. It’s the Italian way of expression and everyone here does it. I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning about different countries and cultures. It has changed my life indefinitely for the better. It’s a bit challenging at first, living so far from home, learning how to move around the area using public transportation, and studying in a foreign country, but it’s a life-changing experience. I love this country and will miss it when I return home. Italy will always be with me for the rest of my life, and I hope to return for another visit soon.
